Spring season has officially arrived, so it is finally the time to share with you a photoshoot Kelly and I have saved for the occasion. This post is not only about making a fashion statement, but embracing all the little things that longer days and warmer weather allow us to do.
It has been a while since I published my last post, but those of you who follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Polyvore know that fashion still is a core part of my everyday routine.
I have recently come across a bunch of pics from my birthday day (that was, September 10th… sorry for the delay!). The short haircut was something I was craving for a while, so Kelly and I planned a photoshoot the very same day I got my hair done. (more…)
Some years ago I published a post about skull printed items when this trend was at its highest peak. What I’ve gladly discovered recently it’s that a lot of followers kept reading my content, despite the more than probable fact the products displayed in it are not available anymore. This is the main reason why I’ve decided to publish a new edition of ‘Let’s go back to SKULL’. Oh, well, and Halloween is just around the corner, so I guess this is the perfect timing too. 😉 (more…)
My birthday was about a month ago, and I am so happy of being surrounded by a lot of people with such a good taste in fashion! I am already happy of being part of their lives, so receiving gifts from them always makes me think that I don’t deserve such attentions. So I wanted to return their kindness by publishing a series of posts showcasing what my friends and SO gave to me. (more…)
For my second Polyvore collection I wanted you to embrace your inner nerd. I’ve found inspiration in some of my all-time favourite shows, others more recent but equally appealing, and everlasting icons of the television and cinema. All of these creations are very close to my heart, but there is one that explains perfectly this phase of my life that I’m living now: my career as a web developer. (more…)
This is my second collaboration with kellycassiee, and as you can see in the pics I am feeling more comfortable in front of her camera. In this ocassion we bring you something a little more daring (lace and leather involved!) than what you could see in the first photoshoot (1st part here and 2nd here). If I have to be true, and you can take the photos as a proof of that, I didn’t care at all about showing a head to toe polished look. Messy hair is usually a part of my everyday looks because, to be honest, I don’t have neither the time nor the patience to straighten my hair on a daily basis. In this ocassion though, I think curly and messy hair goes really well with the bold lipstick and the darkness of the whole outfit. (more…)
Last week I shared with you my experiences, body issues and fears as a blogger in my most personal post ever. Writing it down has supposed to me a tough work towards self-acceptance in mind, body and soul. And it was also liberating. The minute before I clicked the ‘Publish’ button I was in panic, thinking that I would never be able to expose myself to the world. Right after doing it, I felt reconciled with my younger self, the one who was always too afraid to ask, too shy to raise her voice. It was time to wave her goodbye and see in my own words a catharsis that may not only help me, but may help others who are still struggling, like I do, to find their place in the world.
