Spring season has officially arrived, so it is finally the time to share with you a photoshoot Kelly and I have saved for the occasion. This post is not only about making a fashion statement, but embracing all the little things that longer days and warmer weather allow us to do.
Today the 88th Academy Awards will unveil one of the greatest mysteries of the year: will Leonardo DiCaprio be finally receiving an Oscar for his role in the film The Revenant? Anyway, this year controversy it’s at its highest peak aside from DiCaprio’s Monday memes. For the second year in a row, all the nominees for acting categories are white. Talented actors such as Will Smith and Idris Elba -who were nominated for the Golden Globe Awards last month- didn’t make the cut for Academy standards this time. The entire main cast and director of acclaimed movie Straight Outta Compton is black, but the only nomination received was for its screenplay, written by whites.
I want to share with you some lovely things that I enjoyed this Valentine’s Day. The most of them are food related because, let’s be honest, a box full of exquisite Belgian chocolates or a candy bouquet will always be welcome in my pantry. 🙂 (more…)
During the first weeks of the year everybody is talking about their hopes for 2016. A new year always gives us the sense of reaching a milestone and fills us with positive energy. We feel like we could accomplish anything life trows at us.
After thinking about my own resolutions deeply, I came to the conclusion that I should include to be a more sensible consumer in my list. In the past I could go nuts during the sales season and buy things I would not think of buying if it wasn’t for their bargain price tags. I have to recognize that is not a responsible attitude neither towards the environment, nor for my wallet, so in the last years I always think twice before making a purchase.
I went to bed last Sunday expecting to read the morning after the list of winners at the 73rd Golden Globe Awards Ceremony, alongside with the most memorable red carpet moments -probably the thing I enjoy the most!-.
But Monday morning brought us the news of David Bowie’s passing, and everything else looked so little compared to that. It is the end of an era, the death of Ziggy Stardust, the alien who came down to earth in order to comfort the mankind during their last breath. (more…)
It has been a while since I published my last post, but those of you who follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Polyvore know that fashion still is a core part of my everyday routine.
I have recently come across a bunch of pics from my birthday day (that was, September 10th… sorry for the delay!). The short haircut was something I was craving for a while, so Kelly and I planned a photoshoot the very same day I got my hair done. (more…)
Some years ago I published a post about skull printed items when this trend was at its highest peak. What I’ve gladly discovered recently it’s that a lot of followers kept reading my content, despite the more than probable fact the products displayed in it are not available anymore. This is the main reason why I’ve decided to publish a new edition of ‘Let’s go back to SKULL’. Oh, well, and Halloween is just around the corner, so I guess this is the perfect timing too. 😉 (more…)
My birthday was about a month ago, and I am so happy of being surrounded by a lot of people with such a good taste in fashion! I am already happy of being part of their lives, so receiving gifts from them always makes me think that I don’t deserve such attentions. So I wanted to return their kindness by publishing a series of posts showcasing what my friends and SO gave to me. (more…)
For my second Polyvore collection I wanted you to embrace your inner nerd. I’ve found inspiration in some of my all-time favourite shows, others more recent but equally appealing, and everlasting icons of the television and cinema. All of these creations are very close to my heart, but there is one that explains perfectly this phase of my life that I’m living now: my career as a web developer. (more…)
